Random Conversation

September 15, 2008

The other day (yesterday), I was on my university network DC++ talking with some people about random things involving the program and debated on random things (whether sharing 1TB of porn was possible/has it ever been done). But eventually the guy I was talking to remarked about how the album “Enema of the State” would be 10 years old or something like that. This segwayed into how time has just gone by like that. I later remarked about how the whole Hannah Montana scene really showed that I am old now. My remark was misinterpreted I assume and later the conversation drifted into whether Hannah Montana is hot, etc.

But yeah, time has definetly passed by and yes we are all older/already old. The things we remember from our past were the cornerstones of adolescence and the things “that are in now”, aren’t really sinking in. Similar and better examples include the Teen Choice Awards and Pokemon. Back then I use to watch the Teen Choice Awards and now I don’t even know when it airs. And back then I use to know my generation’s Pokemon. Now there are so many that it has lost all meaning. What I would do to go back in time and reminesce in nostalgia.

Popular on DC++

May 14, 2008

People seem to be getting desperate on DC++ for the Hopkins network and a lot of people are downloading off me. Seeing as how the big guns (TB+) have gone home, I have noticed people downloading a lot of stuff off me. Usually there are 0-2 songs downloaded off me, but today there may have been over 50.

But actually I feel this is good. I have a lot of music that most people on the network don’t have and sharing is the whole point of DC++. I want to spread what I have, so everyone can try it. I feel good about this so I will leave my computer on so people could download off me all night long. I am a philanthropist.
