I am working on taking pictures of interesting things I see in NYC during my job. I have taken some mundane pictures so far and nothing really amazing. I missed out on those but will try to find more.

Artificial Sun Makes Birds Crazy

I have been disturbed at night by birds in a nearby tree for the last few weeks. It is very hard to sleep because of this and yesterday was perhaps the worst day. The heat was overwhelming and the birds did not shut up. I decided to look outside my window to see what could be a reasons to as why birds sing at 1AM. So I see this…

Those lights have always been there and they light up the parking lot of the laundromat next door. I never really understood why they were always on but they are so be it. And they I realize that these lights may act as an artificial sun in the eyes of the birds. Though these lights lack the power of the real sun, this is the best theory I have going. So basically I am sleeping in the basement temporarily to avoid the birds/heat.

Soon to End

My time of doing nothing much these days is soon going to wither away, in one week my job would begin. And I will be very busy then. I will also be very tired as I would be probably waking up early and I would be tired from walking the miles and miles needed to perform the job. So I will pretty much be very beat and assed out for the rest of the summer to say the very least. I do look forward to doing this job and I hope it will interest me, like my previous job in Baltimore.
